Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe is an American country music songwriter and singer. The group she formed with Ashley Monroe named Pistol Annies, with Angaleena Presley as well as Miranda Lambert in 2007, and then released her 2nd Album called Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe is the Assistant Village Manager for the village of Riverside Illinois and has over fifteen years of experience in the public sector, including almost five years as the an Deputy City Manager within Iowa City. In her role as Assistant Village Director, she manages the Community Development and Building Department. It includes the coordination of the grant application process and also completing specific projects. Ashley is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of Riverside Village and also for implementing the vision and strategy for elected officers. Ashley's responsibilities include planning for municipal services, budgeting management of personnel and collective bargaining. Ashley also focuses on the climate issues. Through her involvement in local and national organisations as well as her work with communities that have populations of varying sizes, Ashley has gained an understanding of the many complexities and differences in how public organizations work. Ashley's lessons concentrate on public leadership and management as seen from the viewpoint that of an experienced professional. She is focused on adjusting the ethical and strategic choices to take advantage of today's opportunities and challenges. She also helps navigate intergovernmental relationships.
